Saturday October 11 2014. 11:00 AM,  Mississippi River Fall Foliage Cruise Luncheon. Boarding at 10:30 AM on the Celebration Belle River Cruise Paddle Boat, 2501 River Drive Moline, IL  61265. 1-800-297-0034.

Originally the Olds Club of Iowa had picked the date of September 20th to take a 1 ½ hour lunch river cruise on the Mississippi River.  The cruise for that day had to be cancelled, due to the boat being sent to St Louis for repairs.

The date has been moved to October 11th.  due to the last minute cancelation by the River Boat Company, they offered an upgrade to a Fall Foliage Cruise & Lunch from the 1 ½ hour cruise, which is a 4 hour cruise which goes from 11am to 3pm, with boarding at 10:30am at no additional cost.  We have some openings on this cruise, as not everyone that signed up for the September cruise can attend on October 11th

If anyone who did not sign up the first time around would like to get in on this Fall Foliage Cruise and Lunch, please feel free to contact me.  The price for the Fall Foliage Cruise ($62.00) has been waived down to the same price as the Lunch Cruise which was $32 (and IA Olds Club pays half of) so your cost is $16.00 per person. Here is some information about the Cruise Line and the cruise.

Celebration Belle River Cruise – 2501 River Drive Moline, IL  61265  - 1-800-297-0034

Imagine yourself cruising down the Mississippi, admiring the colors of nature all around you. Beautiful scenery abounds as you float up and down the river while in the background the great sounds of music from the 40′s to the present. Sit back, listen, and even dance to the sounds of your favorite tunes. Big Band, Country, and Rock and Roll, it’s all there. Don’t forget your cameras to capture the scenic views!

Your 4 hour cruise will start off with our hot homemade sticky rolls with assorted fresh fruits and our hot lunch buffet:

  • Baked Cranberry Glazed Boneless Breast of Chicken
  • Alfredo Pasta with Vegetables
  • Homemade Garlic Mashed Potato
  • Chicken Gravy
  • Baby Whole Green Beans with Sautéed Bacon and Onions
  • Pasta Salad
  • Sweet Corn Salad
  • Rolls and Butter
  • Tossed Spring Salad with Dressings
  • Turtle Cheesecake
  • Coffee and Iced Tea included with your meal

Your cost will be $16.00 per person.  Even though the cruise is longer than the one we contracted for, Celebration Belle is not charging any additional charges.

The Olds Club of Iowa will pay for the other half of the cost ($16.00) of this excursion for club members and their family.

If you would like to enjoy this cruise with some wonderful car club members, please call me by September 27th to sign-up.
